Credit Card Facts and Tidbits
Your credit union is a better bet than your credit cards!

A Word From Your Board of Directors

NCUA Share Insurance Fund Information

In these uncertain financial times it is important for you, our members, to understand our share insurance coverage. Just as the Banking Community has the FDIC, Credit Unions have the NSIF, NCUA Share Insurance Fund. Insured shares are backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government. NCUA protects the membership against losses should a federal credit union fail.

ATD Federal Credit Union is a very safe and sound institution. We have a Bauer Financial Rating (a company used to measure the rate risk, safety and soundness of Financial Institutions) of 5 stars, the highest rating given for over 20 years. We are very conservative with lending and investing YOUR funds, because they are also OUR funds.

The NCUA website offers resources to help you understand the Share Insurance Fund, and is found at http://www.ncua.gov/ShareInsurance/index.htm

There are three main sections to the above website:
Share Insurance Estimator
Enables calculating an estimate of share insurance coverage.
How Your Accounts are Federally Insured
Provides general information regarding share insurance coverage.
Your Insured Funds
Provides detailed explanation of share insurance coverage along with examples of account coverage.

ATDFCU Accounts Now Insured to $250,000!
